ASAP Proprietary Blend Ingredient Information

Resveratrol is an antioxidant found in grapes and wines. Research has shown two different ways how this antioxidant promotes weight loss. The first way is that Resveratrol is an activator for the enzyme that is encoded by the SIRT1 gene in the human body. The SIRT1 gene is the gene that becomes present when a human engages in a calorie restricted diet. When the body realizes that calories are being restricted, the SIRT1 gene begins to work away at the body’s stored adipose to use as energy. Because Resveratrol is able to activate the enzyme that is encoded by the SIRT1 gene, the need to extremely cut their calorie count through their diet is greatly lessened. The second way is because Resveratrol is an antioxidant; it is able to trigger specific sensors in the upper intestine. When these sensors are triggered it gives a feeling of being full, causing them to want to eat less. Because of the make up of this antioxidant, when used in diet supplements, it can help the person taking them greatly in their weight loss goals.

L -Carnitine is a substance that helps the body turn fat into energy. Carnitine is an amino acid produced naturally in the body by the liver and kidneys. Carnitine is found in the cells of the heart, brain, sperm and skeletal muscles. Carnitine transports long-chain fatty acids to the mitochondria of these cells for metabolism, as well as removing toxic compounds from the mitochondria. It is often used in weight loss supplements because of its ability to turn fat into energy. Some studies do show that oral Carnitine reduces fat mass, increases muscle mass and reduces fatigue. All these are great contributors to weight loss.

L-glutamine is a provisionally essential amino acid. Amino Acids are the “building blocks” for protein and they are classified as essential (meaning that your body is incapable to synthesize them itself and must come from diet.) Your body stocks glutamine within the muscles, lung, liver, brain and stomach tissues. Glutamine makes up 60% of your body’s amino acid stocks. Glutamine intensifies muscle extent by way of extracting water and carbohydrates into muscle cells. It has been revealed to enhance intracellular levels of the essential branched-chain amino acid L-leucine, which avoids muscle deficit. Glutamine works to energize the intestines and immune system, cure soft tissues, prevent illnesses and sustain your body’s antioxidant source. Glutamine enhances metabolism as well as fat burning. Not only does it intensify fat burning once in use prior to and throughout workout, it also enhances your resting metabolic speed. Obtaining little quantities of L-glutamine intensifies the discharge of growth hormone, which is a strong fat burner. This ingredient has many positive ways it affects those wanting weight loss.

Tribulus Terrestris Extract
The extract of Tribulus Terrestris, is a flowering plant common to America, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. It has been used in folk medicine in various parts of the world. Also known as puncture vine, Tribulus Terrestris contains saponins, glycosides, flavonoids, alkaloids, resins, tannins, sugars and sterols. Steroidal saponins are considered to be the biologically active components of the herb, and the amount found in an extract will vary depending on where the herb was grown and the part of the plant used. The extract is used with many people wanting to build muscle because of its abilities to use its properties to boost testosterone. Tribulus Terrestris is not a hormone, but is able to increase testosterone by increasing lutenizing hormone (LH) in your body. It works with the bodies’ natural limit to help build muscle and increase one’s strength. Some studies have showed an increase up to 50% in the body. The testosterone helps build muscle and strength. These are positive attributes that help dieters to work out.

Epimedium Extract
Epimedium Extract’s common or generic name is Horny Goat Weed. It is one of over 60 herbaceous plants of the Berberdaceae family. The herb grows naturally in Korea,China Souther Asia and some parts of Europe. It may be noted that Epimedium is a resourceful Chinese herb that has been traditionally employed to cure infertility, impotence, absent-mindedness, arthritis and back aches. Owing to the aptitude of Epimedium to dilate or widen the capillaries as well as other blood vessels, this herb is employed to make blood circulation to the brain and the sexual organs easier. At the same time, Epimedium helps to lower blood pressure and is beneficial for those enduring hypertension. In addition, this herb also promotes male sex hormone production as well as tones up the liver. Epimedium offers a number of health benefits and is employed to treat several conditions. This ingredient helps with the overall body of the dieter. It helps by giving the dieters more resilience, a better blood flow, a boost of hormones, and help with the feel of any bone or joint discomfort. All these properties contribute to helping with physical activity, which is a great aid when wanting to lose weight.

L Arginine HCL
Arginine is one of the essential amino acids, or an amino acid synthesized by the body. It is able to improve blood circulation and research indicates that Arginine may be beneficial for dropping body fat. In a 2008 study conducted at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and published in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise, researchers investigated the effects of arginine on body fat mass in endurance-trained athletes. Participants ingested arginine alpha-ketoglutarate, a form of arginine, or a placebo while performing aerobic training. During the four-week study, the arginine alpha-ketoglutarate group experienced significant decreases in body fat percentage and fat mass compared to the placebo group Arginine's ability to enhance lean tissue growth might be effective in boosting fat loss. Researchers found that adding Arginine to either a high or low fat diet resulted in significant reductions in body fat. Arginine is needed by the body to make nitric oxide, a gas that boosts blood flow. Nitric oxide also regulates several processes in the body, including fat and glucose metabolism. Researchers found that inhibiting nitric oxide production was associated with fat gain while stimulating nitric oxide secretion was correlated with enhanced lipolysis, or fat breakdown, according to research published in the September 2006 issue of the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry. Arginine is a vital ingredient because of its positive benefits in helping the body become leaner.
